We were a little bored today...
Cooked Salt Dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 tsp. oil
Mix all together in a pot and cook until dough is one big UGLY blob and does not stick to the sides of the pot. Dump out on the counter and knead dough until smooth. Add food coloring to water before cooking. 
We tried baking these playdough shapes in the oven because I wanted Logan to paint them when they cooled down. However, all the shapes burned and turned black. We still painted them but then I threw them away. :(
